Costa Calida Region
The 250 Km stretch of Mediterranean coastline at Murcia is known as the Costa Calida Region, and Murcia is one of the 50 provinces of Spain, which is getting more tourist attention nowadays. The Northern stretch of Costa Calida is known as Costa Blanca, or White Coast, whereas the Southern stretch is known as Costa Almeria. 
The name Costa Calida is also known as ‘Warm Coast’, and is known as being the most suitable name for this coast, as it has comparatively higher temperature and also less rain fall. It’s attracting a lot of tourists every year for its warm weather, endless blue skies, clean and sandy beaches, nearby mountains, and historical monuments. This place also offers cuisine with rich vegetables that grow in fertile soil and also, you can find a variety of fish here as well.
Mar Manor is Europe’s largest salt water lagoon, and also the main tourist attraction. It is also known as the Little Sea as it looks like another sea that has a 22 kilometer long spit of land, which is known as the La Manga. La Manga means ‘he sleeve’, and is the area where a lot of tourist development has taken place.

Murcia City is the capital of Murcia, and is situated at the river bank of Segura. The city attracts tourist for two reasons: 1) The mix of culture of the Arab and Spanish as it was founded by Abd ar Rahman III in AD 825, and 2) Abundant agricultural output.
Founded by Carthaginians, Cartagena is the second largest town of Murcia. In Cartagena you can smell the history dipped monuments on every street. The best way to do sightseeing would be by travelling through the open deck Double Decker buses.
Mar Menor is a unique location with the largest salt water lake, which has a depth of more than 7 meters. Tourists can enjoy watching various bird species here, and the area has a rather successful fishing industry. You may get the chance to view some of the Arabic style of fishing while here as well.
San Javier is a small town in the Murcia Region. This place is popular for one clear reason and that is the airport. To fly down to Murcia you have to land at San Javier airport. Apart from the airport, this area has begun to develop tourist interest for the water sports it offers on its safe beaches.
